Lead Service Line Replacement Program
The utility does the work
Pays: Free replacement of both the utility side and your side of a lead or galvanized line. The page says private removal usually costs $5,000 to $10,000.
Who qualifies: Every property in the service area (Trenton, Ewing, Lawrence, and Hamilton) with a confirmed lead line. No income rule and no sign-up list.
Who does the work: Trenton Water Works' approved contractors do the work and never ask you for payment.
How to start: Check your address on the program's site (linked below) and sign the Right of Entry form when a contractor comes to your street.
